Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 November 2026

By using ureader (the "Service") you agree to these terms. Please take a few minutes to read them; sections 2, 4 and 8 matter most.

1. What the Service is

The Service is provided by [operating entity]. You can upload a photo of a tarot spread, pick the cards by hand or draw a set online; an AI-assisted reading is then written automatically from the cards and their positions, and you can ask follow-up questions, save the reading to your history and share it.

Readings are AI-assisted and produced automatically, for entertainment and self-reflection. They are a tool for looking at a question from another angle, not a judgement about, or promise of, anything.

2. Who may use it

The Service is only for people aged 18 and over. You will be asked to confirm your age on first use; if you are under 18, please do not use the Service. Your answer is kept only in an essential cookie.

3. Anonymous use and accounts

You need to sign in with your email before a reading; you can browse the site without signing in. History from earlier anonymous sessions is kept only in that session on that device, for 30 days by default.

Signing in works by email: we send a sign-in link to your inbox, with no password to set. After signing in, the anonymous history on the current device is merged into your account. Please keep your mailbox secure; actions taken through a sign-in link sent to your email are treated as your own.

4. Free allowance and payments

During the testing period the Service is free and nothing is charged.

Once payments are switched on there is a free allowance of readings each day; beyond that you can buy a pack of readings or a 30-day pass. The pass does not auto-renew and nothing is charged automatically. A reading is only deducted when "Start reading" successfully returns; retakes, corrections, retries and regenerations caused by a fault are never charged. Prices, quantities and usage rules are as shown on the pricing page.

Refunds are described in the Refund Policy.

5. What you upload and type

You are responsible for your photos and text. Photograph the cards only; do not upload photos that show other people, identity documents or other sensitive information. A photo in which a face is detected is not uploaded.

To provide the Service you allow us to process this content as described in the Privacy Notice (including sending it to a third-party model provider to identify the cards and write the reading). We never use your photos to train models.

6. Restrictions

  • Do not use scripts or other automation to make bulk requests, get around usage limits or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not use readings to harass, discriminate against or harm others.
  • Do not reverse-engineer the Service or resell it commercially without permission.
  • If these rules are broken we may restrict the session or account involved.

7. Intellectual property

The card images are the Waite deck published in 1909, which is in the public domain. The interface, copy and software belong to us or our licensors.

You may keep, print and share your AI-assisted reading text for personal, non-commercial purposes (shared images carry an "AI-assisted" label).

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Readings are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or investment advice and cannot replace a doctor, counsellor, lawyer or financial adviser (see the full Disclaimer). Photo recognition may misidentify a card or its orientation; the review page exists so you can check and correct it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on a reading or their consequences, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or change the Service; significant changes are announced on the site and the date at the top is updated. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated terms. You can delete your whole history or your account at any time in Settings.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without affecting any rights you have under mandatory law where you live. Questions: [contact email].
